We never thought it would happen, but 2020 seems to be coming to an end! Which means it’s time to get serious about your holiday shopping. The holidays may be the most wonderful time of the year, but they’re also the most stressful because there’s SO much to do.
-
Let the elves of Snarky Tea guide you through how to make the most of your online shopping this year.
If the world was a Christmas Carol, Amazon would be Ebenezer Scrooge and small businesses would be Tiny Tim.
-
Spend your hard-earned money at places that will really appreciate it. Small businesses are taking a huge hit this year with the pandemic. 80% of small business owners say COVID-19 has affected their business. Meanwhile, Amazon sales have sky-rocketed.
-
If you want your favorite brands to stick around, support them by buying directly from their websites. You’ll help put a holiday turkey on Tiny Tim’s table. Jeff Bezos at Amazon has enough holiday turkeys to feed the planet a few times over. Plus, we here at Snarky Tea have way better hair than Bezos, and who wouldn’t want to support that?

If you’re reading this, stop procrastinating your online holiday shopping!
-
With social distancing and the risk associated with shopping in person, more and more people are buying things online. This increase in online shopping is going to reach a fever pitch this holiday season. The solution? Order way earlier than you think is necessary.
-
The USPS has set a recommended Christmas deadline of December 15th, but we suggest getting your orders in far before that. In fact, five out of five snarky elves agree you should start shopping for our limited edition holiday gifts right now!
The weather outside is getting colder, so it’s time to bundle up!
-
Part of being a good online shopper is finding money-saving bundles. Bundles often allow you to get more for less. Instead of buying each item separately, bundles can be bought whole and broken apart to satisfy even more people on your “nice list”.
-
It’s a common belief that customer service people are just soulless spirits like The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come. This is untrue! Unlike gingers and Jeff Bezos, customer service people have souls and human emotions. Please treat the customer service reps you speak to with kindness this holiday season. They’re dealing with an incredible number of requests and questions.
-
Remember it is not the customer service person’s fault that your order is late or that part of it is missing. Once an order passes to USPS, how fast they're able to get it to you is out of our control. A little patience and kindness goes a long way, especially in a year as dark and heavy as this one.
The only thing we love more than tossing back the eggnog (or some holiday tea) is some sweet doorbuster deals!
-
Be on the lookout for sales starting before Black Friday this year. Many companies are rolling out the sales early to get ahead of the shipping crisis. Want to make sure you’re getting the absolute best price on your holiday items? Try adding the Honey extension to your browser. Honey automatically adds any available coupons and discounts to your shopping cart so you can save money this holiday season.
-
Signing up for mailing lists for your favorite brands is another fantastic way to be updated on the latest sales. Make sure you’re on our Snark Squad mailing list because we have some big holiday fun coming out this year.

SO TRUE about Customer Service Reps… I’ve been blessed to be in the Automotive Repair Industry for my entire life. It’s one of the hardest jobs ever. My heart breaks every time I see a Service Advisor getting yelled at… folks, don’t forget that these people have your home address, so be nice. 😝😂 I’m kidding… none of my Advisors would ever send you a nasty letter!
Much love from a woman in a male-dominated field (and loving every bit of it!)
